DJ Tay James Releases WKTDJ Radio Volume 7

February 19, 2017

3 hours and 3 minutes. That’s approximately how long it would take me to fly from freezing New York to the warm beaches of the Bahamas. It’s also the amount of time it will take you to listen to our newest release in its entirety. That’s right, bossman DJ Tay James is back with another mix of today’s hottest hits – WeKnowTheDJ Radio Volume 7 has arrived!

First word of Volume 7 arrived back in September of 2016 and two months later, we got confirmation that DJ Tay James was hard at work on the project. That was further confirmed this past Friday when DJ Tay James officially dropped WeKnowTheDJ Radio Volume 7.

The tape has been played over 17,000 times since Friday, earning its spot in audiomack’s top 5 every day since its release. You can listen right here:

DJ Tay James’ livelihood comes from traveling the world and playing the hottest tracks at the hottest venues in the hottest cities but, with the release of Volume 7, you don’t have to wait for the WeKnowTheDJ Tour to hit your city. Instead, you can listen to the hottest songs on Tay’s infamous set-lists right on your phone. Featured smashes include Drake and 21 Savage on “Sneakin,” Big Sean on “Bounce Back,” Rihanna on “Sex With Me,” The Weeknd on “Party Monster” and many more!

But WeKnowTheDJ Radio Volume 7 isn’t a “Legends Only” party, DJ Tay James has also used the most recent mixtape as a platform to spread the word about today’s up-and-coming artists, including Conor Maynard, J.Rabon, Harv, and many more.

Sounds great, right? It is but… There’s more!

55 tracks weren’t enough for DJ Tay James so he also presented WeKnowTheDJ Radio Volume 7 Side B shortly after 2 o’clock on Friday afternoon, complete with an additional 28 tracks, making the total tracklist 83 songs, making it the longest Volume in the WeKnowTheDJ Radio series.

Side B includes tracks like Drake’s “Fake Love,” Kalin White’s “Twisted,” Gallo’s “Go Far,” Blake Kelly’s “All of Dem,” Tdot Illdude’s “I Don’t Wanna Leave,” and J.Blaze’s “I’m Poppin.” You can listen to the entirety of WeKnowTheDJ Radio Volume 7 Side B right here:

And, because Taylor James could very easily be considered the Master of Mixes, there are no shortages of infamous Tay James remixes on WeKnowTheDJ Radio Volume 7 and Side B. Tay remixes include Fetty Wap and Nicki Minaj on “Like A Star,” DJ Snake and Justin Bieber on “Let Me Love You,” Ed Sheeran and Jay-Z on “Shape of You,” Major Lazer, Justin Bieber, and Gucci Mane on “Cold Water,” J.Cole and Tweet on “Folding Clothes,” Kanye West on “Gud Vibrations,” Migos and Ginuwine on T-Shirt, and Rob $tone and Next on “Chill Bill.”

The only thing possibly more notorious than Tay James remixes are his guest appearances. This time, DJ Tay James lets us listen in on some of his phone’s most recent voicemails. We hear the one-sided conversations from Karen Civil, Dave Grutman, Bun B, Justin Bieber, Conor Maynard, Kyrie Irving, Big Sean, Post Malone, Jon Shimoni, Floyd Mayweather, Mack Maine, King Bach, John Shahidi, Angie Ang, and Rob $tone throughout the duration of the mixtape.

A majority of Tay James’ incoming calls end up in his voicemail but thankfully Bossman always seems to make time for a catch-up conversation with Yours Truly and mixtape release day was no different. A quick international phone call proved once again how proud Tay is of this mixtape, a feeling undoubtedly shared throughout our entire team.

Our phone call also included plenty of excitement surrounding DiamondKnowsTheDJ, our clothing line in collaboration with Diamond Supply Company that drops later this week. February is shaping up to be a busy month for the WeKnowTheDJ team and I know I can speak for DJ Tay James, DJ Mo Beatz, DJ Bonics, the Diamond Supply Co. team, and the WeKnowTheDJ team when I say we’re so excited for Saturday night’s DiamondKnowsTheDJ Launch Party!

Until next time,
