WeKnowTheHolidays: Getting Your Ears Ready for Christmas!

Is anyone else completely checked out at work/school already? Sure, it’s only December 15th, but doesn’t your cubicle (or desk) seem to be shrinking and closing in around you as you set those final meetings of the year, or begin to prepare your final geometry exam that will have absolutely NOTHING to do with your life after school? Well friends, we’re in the same boat, and we’d like to take this time to make that boat ride as smooth as possible for you, by providing you with some essential holiday jams, to prepare you for break!

Bounce Back – Big Sean

We’ve ALL seen you pull up at the stop light, bumping this new, absolute banger from Big Sean, and you shouldn’t plan to stop now. When that one ornament falls to the floor, you’ll hope that it doesn’t crack, but instead bounces back…Was that corny? …ugh, moving on…

Trill – YG (Feat. Lil’ Wayne)

I haven’t been as impressed with a beat, as I have with YG and Weezy’s latest offering, in a long time. I can’t quite put my finger on what this beat is influenced by, but I’m hoping you’ll be able to tweet at us, and jog our memory. Regardless, turn this one on right after your Mom pulls those warm, delicious cinnamon raisin muffins out of the oven, to make the experience that much more epic!

Things They Say – Lauryn Hill (Feat. Method Man)

You knew I was going to toss a throwback in this list, and oddly enough, I can’t seem to remember what brought me back to this laidback, relaxing jam, other than the fact that I want you to feel as warm and cozy as I do, after listening to this Lauryn Hill, classic! This one’s perfect for when you just got off the flight back to your hometown, and the snow’s just begun to fall, and everything just feels how it’s supposed to, in that moment!

Stay – Mac Miller

I hope you didn’t miss Mac Miller’s new album The Divine Feminine, this year, because it was instrumentally one of the most impressive albums of the year. “Stay,” cracks this list not only, for how dope it is, but also for how the French horns make this the perfect track to pull your ugly Christmas sweater on to!

Roses vs. Love Yourself (Mashup) – The Chainsmokers x Justin Bieber

I had to round out the list with something that Santa will be beyond hype to dunk his cookies to, in the milk that you left out for him….You did leave the cookies out for Santa, right?

The WeKnowTheDJ Team would like to wish you and your’s the happiest of holidays, and hope that you’re able to spend time with friends and family that helped make your year so incredible! As always, please don’t forget to Tweet us @WeKnowTheDJ and let us know what you’ll be blasting through your speakers over break!
