Ed Sheeran ‘thinks out loud’ on newest track

June 5, 2014

With the upcoming release of his second album “X” on June 23rd, Ed Sheeran is delighting his ‘Sheerios’ by giving them a glimpse into his new work. He debuted his song “Thinking Out Loud” on BBC Two’s, “Later….with Jools Holland,” May 23rd, to a packed studio audience, declaring that it’s his favorite from the new album. Unlike his current catchy radio single “Sing,” “Thinking Out Loud” is a love ballad that showcases the 23 year old’s polished vocals. The slow song gushes about being innocently head-over-heels in love, with lyrics such as:  “Take me into your loving arms/kiss me under the light of a thousand stars/place your head on my beating heart”.

However, this isn’t the only trick Sheeran has up his sleeve. Along with Pharrell Williams, the “Sing” music video was just released and any UK fans that purchase the song on iTunes beginning June 1st receive a B-side track called “Friends”.

Sheeran is also now featured in a Beats by Dr. Dre commercial with a preview of “Don’t,” and his MTV special titled “Nine Days and Nine Nights” premieres on June 10th. If that’s not enough, the singer also recorded “All of Of Our Stars” for the soon-to-be-blockbuster film “The Fault in Our Stars” and will embark on his North American tour starting August 21st in Seattle, Washington.
