It’s Now or Never for O-Town

Attention boy band lovers and HitClip- wearing girls of the early 2000s, good news comes your way this week. O-Town, the product of ABC’s first season of Making the Band is reuniting!

The group named for Orlando, Fla. and famous for their hit songs “All or Nothing” and “Liquid Dreams” formed in 2000 and disbanded nearly a decade ago. After various attempts to get the band back together, it’s finally happening!

Looking back on the success of the group, they have put out two major albums, and made the show Making the Band a huge success. They went on numerous tours during their years together and even performed during the Miss America Pageant in 2000.

After splitting up due to some legal issues with their label in 2004, each member set out to work on something of their own. Ashley Parker Angel was given an MTV show and put out some music, but it unfortunately did not live up to the expectations of his management. In 2007 he began performing on Broadway in Hairspray. Trevor Penick tried a solo online casino career, Erik Estrada actually joined the army, and Jacob Miller started his own country band. Since 2011, there have been rumors that the band was getting back together, but they wanted to keep the details on the down low until there was a definite on the release of new music.

In an official promotional video about their comeback, the band talks about how the time is now or never to give it a second try. Bad news for Ashley Parker Angel fans, he is not part of the reunion, which will leave the band with four members:  Dan Miller, Jacob Underwood, Erik-Michael Estrada, and Trevor Penick (now known as Tre Scott).

The band will be touring in Europe this summer and rumored the US in fall, though only a few dates have been announced. The band will also be releasing new music, but we will just have to wait around for the date on that. More details to come!
