Maroon 5 Signs With Interscope, Will Go On Worldwide “V” Tour?

May 26, 2014

Fasten your seatbelts, Maroon 5 fans. There’s a bunch of excitement to be revealed in a just a moment. The three-time Grammy award-winning band has signed with Interscope Records and… announced they will release their fifth studio album V on September 2nd! The album was teased three weeks ago via Instagram with a picture of Adam Levine paired with the caption “Guess what we’re working on? #album5.”

Here’s exciting thing number two: Preceding the V album, a new single will drop sometime this summer. (Anyone want to make any bets that Maroon 5 will have the song of the summer? I got ten bucks…)

The new album, recorded over the past year in Los Angeles, was produced by Benny Blanco, Max Martin, Shellback, Sam Martin, and Ryan Tedder. Longtime fans will be also thrilled that the band has reunited with keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, who took a hiatus from the band in 2012 while the band recorded “Overexposed.”

But that’s not all, Maroon 5 fans! The band has also signed on for a worldwide tour with Live Nation. You should probably forget what I said about making bets, and start saving your concert money now. Tour dates will be announced in the next couple of weeks, and we can’t wait to see where Maroon 5 is going!
