Rita Ora Is Back, Drops “I Will Never Let You Down” From Upcoming Album

April 8, 2014

In an explosive re-appearance into the music scene, 23-year-old Rita Ora just released the energetic love song “I Will Never Let You Down,” and the accompanying music video last week. The up-tempo song is the first track from Rita’s upcoming sophomore album, and we are quite pleased with the positive message.

“When you say you’ve had enough/ and you might just give it up/ Oh, Ohh I Will Never Let You Down / When you’re feeling low on love/ I’ll be what you’re dreaming of/ Oh Ohh I Will Never Let You Down”

The “How We Do (Party)” singer has been on hiatus from the music biz for two years now. In a behind the scenes video, the British singer said the song is the perfect track to launch her next album because she’s in a good place right now…and that definitely comes across in her new single. “I really wanted people to see how I felt and how I want other people to feel when they listen to my music — happy — so I love the fact that this is such an uplifting love song.”

Produced by rumoured boyfriend Calvin Harris, the single is more than just an uplifting pop song – it’s frickin’ addicting! Sultry verses lead into dance party beats that verge on retro. Rita’s vocals are clear as day, and when the beat picks up for the chorus, you’ll be hooked. The music video is a sexy and fun representation of the song, and showcases Rita’s love of fashion and beauty. I challenge you, faithful reader, to watch the music video without dancing in your seat and singing along to the catchy tune: I will never let you down.

Rita is scheduled to perform at the BBC Radio 1s festival in May, and her sophomore album is expected to drop this summer. Buy her new single on iTunes and let us know what you think of the music video on Twitter, @weknowthedj!
