Frozen concert warms hearts

April 14, 2014

Do you wanna build a snowman? Well the cast of Frozen certainly wanted to sing about it, joining each other for the first and only live performance of the hit movie’s soundtrack on Sunday, February 9th.

Although not all the songs were sung, the most memorable ones were a must.¬†Josh Gad (Olaf) belted out “In Summer”, Santino Fontana (Hans) and Kristen Bell (Anna) shared a duet on “Love Is an Open Door”, Bell shined by herself with “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, and Idina Menzel (Ilsa) rocked her powerhouse solo/radio smash “Let it Go”.

Bell then explained in an interview that the special and exclusive performance was “to celebrate what we felt the movie accomplished”. The movie did certainly accomplish a lot, with the constant exposure that it has been receiving since its release. To date, the movie has gained multiple awards and honors such as a Golden Globe, two Academy Awards and keeping the number one spot on the Billboard 200 since the week of March 29th.

This is the #1 film soundtrack to chart since 2003, simply another bonefide success for the Disney machine. Despite it’s other animated films in recent years such as “Wreck It Ralph”, “Tangled”, and “Brave”, Frozen has regained a new respect for their films “For the First Time In Forever”.

Have any thoughts that you are dying to share with us? Then just “Let it Go” and tweet your thoughts about Frozen to @weknowthedj.
