Tyga must have been itching to release new music over the weekend, because his most recent release of “Senile” featuring Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj marks his third release in just 3 days! The track is a single from Young Money’s upcoming sophomore album, Young Money: Rise of an Empire, set to be released March 11. Young Money’s first album, We Are Young Money, was a huge success including memorable club bangers, “Every Girl,” “Steady Mobbin’,” and the everlasting hit, “Bedrock”. If “Senile” is any indication of what we can expect from the rest of the album, then we’re in for a real treat from the YMCMB camp.

Tyga starts things off with a rapid-fire verse that ends with the catchy repetitive chanting of, “Can you see now? When you see a ni**a don’t be actin’ senile”. Careful not to slow the pace, Nicki Minaj steps up the plate, following up Tyga’s verse with one of her own Twista-esque sounding verses, laced with clever wordplay:

Yeah I got an Audemar, I ain’t set the time once / And I know they say they shine, I ain’t seen em shine once / All these rappers is my sons, and I’m always nine months / Man if this was baseball, I ain’t let em slide once. Do you see now?

To finish things off, Young Money President, Lil Wayne steps in with arguably, the strongest verse on the track, bragging about his continued rap dominance, wealth and his cars. For some reason, Wayne’s verses never get old and continue to deliver humor and creativity; tools necessary to succeed in hip-hop today (Just look at Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, and Tyler, the Creator). David D.A. Doman produced the track, responsible for it’s futuristic sounding bells and synthesizers to add this dark, gloomy feel to it, which he manages to execute perfectly.

As if this single weren’t already enough, Young Money also released the entire track list for Rise of an Empire which can be seen below:

The only argument to be made would be to see more Drake appearances on the album, but the Young Money compilations tend to highlight more of the artists on the label who have much less notoriety than Drake, Nicki or Wayne. That being said, you should definitely keep an eye out for recent Young Money signee and rising star, Euro, whom we first heard on Wayne’s Dedication 5, released earlier this year. Furthermore, since we’ve already heard, “Trophies,” “We Alright,” “Lookin A**,” and now “Senile,” I’m certain that Wayne and company are poised to have a very successful 2014.

Check out “Senile” HERE and be sure to tweet us @weknowthedj to let us know what you think about the track, as well as the earlier releases from the upcoming album. Let us know if you plan on picking up a copy of Young Money: Rise of an Empire on March 11.
