The Universe will never be the same without The Wanted.

“Wanted Wednesday” was especially sober on January 22nd when the band broke news that they would be taking a break to pursue their solo careers. Their tour, appropriately titled “Word of Mouth” after their newest 4th album, will continue on as planned kicking off February 8th in Germany and ending May 17th in Oklahoma. The single from the album called “Glow in the Dark” is the newest to be released (listen below), with a music video soon to follow.

A statement posted on their official website,, read “This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”

The guys, who have been hot on the charts since 2010, made sure to thank their dedicated fans multiple times for their love and support. “Appreciate how patiently you’ve waited for the news we shared today; look forward to all the adventures that lay ahead with you by our side!” one of the tweets (@thewanted) read.

word of mouth

So don’t stress Wanted Fanmily! It’s only a matter of time before the guys are back on the stage, and at least you have this tour to look forward to and make memories out of. It could always be worse; just ask Jonas Brothers fans who have mourned a cancelled tour and break-up of the group months ago. Wow, 2014 is certainly not a good year for boy bands.

Tweet us @weknowthedj and let us know if you are planning on “owning the night” by checking them out on tour this year and tell us what your reaction was when you first heard about their break.
