It was only fitting that Macklemore was chosen as the halftime act for the NFC Championship on Sunday. The Seattle native has been a familiar face to the Seahawk sideline as of late, and Macklemore’s social media activity screams he’s a die-hard fan.

Unfortunately, the game broadcast failed to air footage of the halftime entertainment. (Faithful readers, you can thank Youtube user, ‪jonnad77 for the following video.)

It’s easy to tell from the energy in his performance that he’s amped about Seahawk Football. Although he’s a longtime fan of all his city’s sports franchises, he’s been particularly busy supporting the Seattle Seahawks over that past couple years, taking every opportunity to flaunt his colors. Want examples? Just check out his Instagram account; the man loves to rep his city! The rapper Instagrammed this photo a week ago in anticipation of the Hawks’ big game against the San Francisco 49ers:

Not only is Macklemore a fan of his home city’s sports teams, but he is also keen on glorifying Seattle’s iconic Capital Hill neighborhood, and the city’s fast food chain Dick’s Drive-In in his music videos (“White Walls”).

Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll is ecstatic about the local rap star’s spirited involvement in his community.

“For a kid who grew up here, I can’t even imagine 68,000 people going crazy for his wonderful talent,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said during his Friday press conference at Virginia Mason Athletic Center. “They’ve been with us for the last couple of years. It’s a great celebration.”

On Friday night Macklemore – and a few Seahawks football players –attended Justin Timberlake’s 2020 Experience Tour while it made its Seattle stop. During the concert, JT made several references to the Seattle’s 12th Man, and even lead the crowd in a Seahawks cheer. After the show, Macklemore took to Instagram once again to show love to his favorite team (and to document his JT meet-up, of course).

So it was also only fitting that Macklemore get to partake in the locker room party after the Seahawks brought home the ‘W’. Watch the video here. Make sure you lookout for Macklemore while you watch the Superbowl on February 2nd; he could very well be Seattle’s good luck charm.

Will you guys be rooting for Macklemore’s Seahawks in the Superbowl, or cheering for the Broncos instead? Tweet us your colors @weknowtheDJ!
