Justin Bieber’s Steamy New Music Video: “All That Matters”

December 3, 2013

Beliebers rejoice! The music video for Justin Bieber’s widely favored music journal “All That Matters” is here at long last! Moments after the Twitter countdown struck zero, the ATM video was posted to VEVO for our viewing pleasure. And a pleasure it was, indeed. Now if everyone could please fasten their seat belts before watching this absurdly sexy visual for “All That Matters”:

At first glance, all this touching, grinding and physicality might seem more fitted for some of Bieber’s more provocative slow jams such as “Hold Tight” or the R. Kelly collar, “PYD.” However, after seeing the video at full length, it seems that this visual is quite the suitable representation for the song’s intimate meaning. The video starts out with a long focus on Bieber’s leading lady (played by Cailin Russo), emphasizing that she’s “All That Matters” to him.

The majority of the shots are focused on Bieber’s body, face and apparel, while the rest are generously dedicated to the light-haired model, whose character mirrors Justin’s urban style, heavy accessorizing and skin-bearing ways.

To illustrate Bieber’s indifference for subjects besides his lover, the set for the video was kept simple…and industrial. Only the necessities were kept as props: 1. A chair for Bieber to sit on and look oh-so- debonair. 2. A motorcycle to prop up his lady. And 3: A guitar because, you know, there’s a heavy guitar element in this song.

Definitely a fan favorite, and easily a song that has converted many critics into supporters, “All That Matters” needed a visual that held up. While already-established fans certainly enjoyed the random footage of Justin whatever-ing around the Great Wall of China, it didn’t exactly match the lyrical content of the song. This new video has done more than just effectively portrayed Justin’s second Music Journal, it has also catapulted his image into the arena of manhood, giving Justin’s – ahem – older fans even more to look forward to.
