How to Get What You Want: Britney Tells You, “Work B*tch”

October 3, 2013

The scorching days of summer might have come to an end but that doesn’t mean the sizzle of 2013 has to end yet. On October 1st, Britney Spears spiced things up with her newest music video, “Work B*tch”, the single from her upcoming eighth studio album. The steamy video, directed by Ben Mor, premiered on the CW before dropping on Vevo minutes later. At the time of writing this article, the Vevo views are over three million, with continued growth expected throughout the day and upcoming week.

In the almost four-minute video, Britney has proven once again that she’s an incredible performer, born to entertain. The mom of two is 31 years old but her age definitely doesn’t show as she’s dancing in the “Work B*tch” video! While her backgrounds change throughout the video, Ms. Spears dances spectacularly in front of each backdrop. From the scorching heat of the desert to the side of a pool, Britney flaunts an extremely toned bikini bottom while holding a dominatrix-esque whip.

The whip isn’t Britney’s only accessory for the video; she also stands beside another whip, a Lamborghini suited to make anyone jealous. The video features an abundant amount of moments that will make you think twice; it’s probably best if you watch the music video more than once to capture everything it has to offer. Britney sticks to an S&M theme throughout the video, making us think she’s a fan of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” series. One accessory joining Britney’s video in an unexpected way, the Beats by Dr. Dre pill. It seems as if all music videos of the past month have a Beats pill, but Britney definitely brings it to an R-rated level.

“Work B*itch”, produced by, debuted last week at No.12 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Chances are that the single will continue to rise on the charts as people watch the music video and become addicted to the track. This single isn’t just the start of a new era for Britney, the video premiere falls one day after the 15-year anniversary of the release of Britney’s debut single, “…Baby One More Time.” Britney’s eighth studio album drops December 3rd, the same month she kicks off her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood with “Britney: Piece of Me.” We’ve posted the Vevo video for “Work B*itch” below so be sure to check that out and send us a tweet at @weknowthedj to share your thoughts!
