Superbowl XLVIII Performer

Summer is coming to an end and fall is on its way. Not only does fall include gorgeous pastel covered trees, pumpkin spice latte’s at Starbucks, comfy oversized knit sweaters and the beginning of another school year, but it also includes football season!

As the 2013-2014 football season has kicked off as of Saturday night, NFL fans have been super excited about this up coming year for their favorite teams. As of yesterday, the news is in and the headliner for the 2014 Superbowl has been chosen, the unbelievably talented, Bruno Mars. Fox News released the exciting news live and the NFL also tweeted the big news yesterday which has many Bruno Mars fans very excited. Being that Beyoncé ranked in a total 110 million views last year, Bruno has a lot to live up to. The Superbowl will be held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014. With more performers to be announced in the future, the Superbowl already couldn’t get better in my opinion.

Just a few weeks ago Bruno performed “Gorilla” at the 2013 VMA’s where he hit a touchdown with his amazing performance. The small but hugely talented 27 year-old Hawaiian artist has been releasing hits since his breakout hit in 2010 entitled, “Just The Way You Are”. Bruno, born Peter Hernandez was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii with both of his parents. Ever since he was a small child he loved music and everything that had to do with it. He made it his goal to be a musician and with a voice like his, we sure are glad he did!

In 2010 Bruno released his first full length studio album entitled, Doo-Wops & Hooligans which had the hits everyone knows and loves including, “Grenade”, “Marry You”, “Just The Way You Are” and “The Lazy Song”. He then released his second album in 2011 called Earth To Mars, which had tracks like “Lost” and “Turn Around”. That same year, Mars won his first every Grammy for “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance” which was a huge accomplishment in his career. Although his second album didn’t match his debut album’s sales, he made a come back in 2012 with his most recent album entitled, Unorthodox Jukebox. The album features tracks like, “Treasure”, “Locked Out Of Heaven”, “If I Was Your Man” and “Gorilla”.

In recent news, Bruno started back up on tour for his newest album. The tour is called, “The Moonshine Jungle Tour”. The tour started on June 22nd, 2013 in Washington, D.C., USA and is set to end on March 16th, 2014 in Auckland, NZ. The setlist includes some of Bruno’s biggest hits, as well as songs that aren’t as widely known.
