Emblem3 Has “Nothing To Lose” With Debut Album

August 4, 2013

Emblems worldwide have been REJOICING over the release of Emblem3’s début album “Nothing To Lose”!
In just under a year, Emblem3, Drew Chadwick and brothers Keaton and Wesley Stromberg, have skyrocketed  from nobody’s, to being signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music and Columbia Records, shortly after being cut of Season 2 of The X Factor USA. It started about five months after their initial cut on The X Factor USA, with their first single “Chloe (You’re The One I Want” releasing April 15, 2013, which charted at number 98 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. The début album “Nothing To Lose”, released this past Tuesday (July 30), is described by the band as “Justin Timberlake meets Sublime” and if you were on Twitter the night of the release, the trending topics were filled with hashtags relating to the album.

The group co-wrote most of the album themselves but got a bit of help from Fun.’s Jack Antonoff and Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden.
In a statement made early on about the album, Wesley stated, “We are so stoked to finally get to share our new music with the world. It’s been a dream come true recording this first record, and we are forever grateful.”

Emblem3, much like their X Factor UK counterpart One Direction, have clearly made it evident that losing these singing competitions is possibly better than winning them. Because let’s just face facts: One Direction went from finishing third on their season, to becoming the biggest boy band of the 21st century. Emblem3 finished third on their season, and then releases and single AND début album less than eight months after their loss? Come on!

And, the trio will be going on tour with Selena Gomes in the fall, being the opening act for the singer’s Stars Dance Tour.
AND, the trio is already nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout Group and will be presenting on the awards show 11 August, 2013 on FOX.

If you want a bit of a teaser for the new album, the music video for “Chloe (You’re The One I Want)” will be listed below and according to a few reviews (and most of my twitter timeline), “Nothing To Lose” is definitely a must have to end the summer, because the SoCal trio’s laid back, surfer lifestyle has attracted hundreds of thousands of followers in the last year. (And personally, one of their songs is titled “Spaghetti” and that already makes me want to buy the damn thing myself.)

Simon Cowell knows what he is doing when it comes to boy bands and Emblem3 just might have what it takes to give One Direction a run for their money in the years to come!
