Mumford & Sons Unveil ‘Babel’ Music Video

July 12, 2013

After what seems like the longest wait, Mumford & Sons have unveiled the music video to their title track off their second studio album, ‘Babel’.

The black and white clip features the four band members playing in a deserted music hall as the camera rolls through various versions of them. It might be hard to follow with the eyes but the concept is simple and straightforward. Most music video’s these days are adapted into short films however to have it stripped down to simple instruments and the band members becomes refreshing to watch. Mumford & Sons have a way of delivering their music in the most soulful way. If the lyrics and the strumming of the banjo don’t take you away, the passionate feel of the video will! These bandmates have proven their devotion to music this past year as their names have skyrocketed on the music charts. Their album climbed up 15 spots on the Official UK Album Charts on Sunday making it a total of 41 weeks to have been on the charts since its release in 2012, after having peaked at number one during the first week. The spike in the charts most likely has to do with their closing headline performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and well as their one-day event at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park last Saturday (June 6).
