John Mayer dedicates love song to Katy Perry

Queue emotions.

In an act of sheer endearment, John Mayer dedicated a song to Katy Perry last Saturday in Milwaukee, during the kickoff show of his “Born and Raised” tour. The show happened to be Mayer’s first since he underwent throat surgery last August, as well as the premiere of the first tour he’s headlined in three years. Taking his spot in a lineup of stars for Milwaukee’s annual Summerfest, he performed for legions of fans at the Marcus Amphitheatre.

Mayer and Perry have been on-again, off-again for months, having only switched back on rather recently this past Memorial Day. But the topsy-turvy state of the relationship doesn’t stop Mayer from harboring strong feelings for the pop princess – and sharing it loud and proud for the world to hear.

According to E! News, Mayer took time in the midst of the concert to discuss Perry with the audience, informing the crowd that she was “more incredible than I ever thought”. In regards to his surgery last year, “She would order food for me. When I was in Montana with bad service, she was so patient as to continue to get to know me and love me.”

To cap off the night, Mayer wowed the crowd with a rendition of his song “A Face to Call Home”, which he promptly dedicated to “Katy, who is my face to call home.” Undoubtedly, touched hearts and loud choruses of “aww!”s ensued.

The cutest part of it all? Perry was reportedly watching Mayer’s set from the mixing board.

The Mayer-Perry romance is only one of many going strong in Hollywood right now, and we can only hope for it to continue to do so in the coming months. From all of us at WeKnowTheDJ, we wish John and Katy much happiness and the best of luck!

And hey – in my opinion, they’re pretty darn adorbz.
