Mike Posner Releases “The Way It Used To Be”

June 12, 2013

FINALLY!!! Mike Posner has been out of the music charts vocally for over a year, producing and writing songs for other artists, one being Justin Bieber’s 2012 hit “Boyfriend. Although deterring from starring in his tracks for a brief second, “The Way It Used To Be” solidifies the fact that Posner hasn’t lost a beat vocally, either.
Teasing for what’s to come on his upcoming album entitled “Pages”, the “Cooler Than Me” singer co-wrote “The Way It Used To Be”, and went on to have it produced by Martin Johnson and Ammo.
Posner released a lyric video to “The Way It Used To Be” on YouTube June 10th, and it is not your average lyric video. The video’s star is a yellow, college-ruled notebook, and inside of it are the thoughts of Posner (or anyone for that matter), reflecting over the way it used to be before a sudden break-up. “Even stars they fade/ and colors turn to grey/ I miss yesterday and the way it used to be.” Posner may not be able to turn back time in this song, but I don’t think he wants to; the 25-year-old singer will be the opening act on Ke$ha’s Warrior Tour starting in August. But that’s two months away. For now, check out Posner’s brand new single below!
