Mac Miller gives “Goosebumpz”

June 3, 2013

Mac Miller has released his newest single from his upcoming album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, due for release June 18th. This Diplo-produced track titled “Goosebumpz” starts off with a frenzied beat full of interesting horns, animal noises, and a drum beat. Mac doesn’t hesitate to show off his lyrical abilities and flow starting the track off rapping “Better act right, ’cause I smack dykes. Give ’em blow and a bit of that bagpipe. B*tch wanna live that rap life, but I already hit that last night.”

Mac’s flow on “Goosebumpz” is more precise than that of his two other songs off the album. “Goosebumpz” follows up the release of “S.D.S.” and “Watching Movies” and nonetheless maintains the interesting and weird direction in which Mac is going with his music. When talking about the album, Mac tells MTV “It’s just dope but I’m still self-conscious about my beats because they [haven’t really been] out there and this is where it’s starting. . . I’m excited to have beats on my own album.”

Listen below and decide what you think about the new direction in which Mac is taking his music. Also, you can purchase the tracks by pre-ordering Watching Movies with the Sound Off.
