Chris Brown Shows His Passionate Side With New Music Video

Don't Think They Know by Chris Brown

Just a few days ago, Chris Brown released a new music video for “Don’t Think They Know”. The song pays tribute to former singer, Aaliyah who passed away in August of 2001.

The track focuses on the way Chris looks at our society today. In the video, Chris is seen hanging out with two groups of friends, one wearing all blue and the other wearing all red which signifies the two well known street gangs, the Bloods and Crips. It is obvious that Chris is not okay with this because in the beginning of the video a quote is shown that reads, “Every two hours in America today a child dies from a gunshot wound”. With a heavy hitting message like that, it shows Chris’ views our society.

The video starts off with Chris driving down a street with a bunch of his friends. The entirety of the video is shot in black and white with blue and red accents being shown in colour to represent the two rival gangs. The video goes back and forth between him dancing with popular clips of Aaliyah dancing in the background. It is evident that Chris wanted this video to send a strong message that violence in America, as well as worldwide is something we should take more seriously.
