It’s hard to “Believe” (sorry, I had to) that Justin performed his début hit single “Boyfriend” for only the 2nd time a year ago at the Billboard Awards in Vegas (watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Pf8LYfyAq8).  The performance was typically magnificent and Bieber himself clearly enjoyed the moment, grinning from ear to ear throughout.  Even harder to believe is the fact it’s been two years since Justin took home the first award of the night in 2011 for “Digital Artist of the Year”. Time has flown by and we find ourselves at that time of year again, and this time Justin had a surprise up his sleeve.  Asking the Beliebers to help him decide which track to perform at the awards, the Canadian artist tweeted: “What song from the #BELIEVEtour should i sing at @billboard awards?”.  He certainly has a vast new catalogue to choose from, his hit albums “Believe” and Believe Acoustic” offer up a multitude of intensively honed performances fresh from his world tour.
Yesterday manager Scooter Braun tweeted: “Going over the @justinbieber performance for #billboard this weekend. Excited by the song the fans chose! #somethingNew” but TODAY Billboard have announced that Justin will perform the “Believe” tour favourite “Take You” AND will team up with will.i.am for a live performance of #thatPOWER .  One thing is certain, Justin and will.i.am will give you a spectacular show, it’s one of the many reasons they’re a highlight at any award ceremony.
Justin’s achievement as a world-class artist has been recognised again this year with 7 nominations, one of which will be decided by the votes of the general public ( http://www.billboard.com/milestone )
I’ll be watching because I can’t wait to see Justin do what he does best, perform .  All the world is his stage and judging by how excited his dancers are it promises to be a big production!
The 2013 Billboard Awards take place on Sunday 19th May at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.
