Move Over Never Say Never, Believe 3D is Coming Soon!

April 30, 2013

When Never Say Never hit theaters around the globe on February 11, 2011, the world got a behind-the-scenes look at the kid who is without a doubt, the most famous person in the world. The concert film, named the most successful concert-themed film in history, showed the world exactly who Justin Bieber is and gave viewers an insight on the then-sixteen year old’s story.  Since Never Say Never was released two years ago, Justin has been all over the world and his story has only expanded.

Directorial genius Jon Chu has teamed up with Justin, Scooter Braun and the rest of Team Bieber, yet again. Before the Believe Tour started, Beliebers were given a personal video from the trio that showed the director signing a “paper plate contract” to officially sign on as the Creative Director of the completely sold-out Believe Tour. Although that guaranteed incredible choreography, I mean Jon is the one responsible for the amazing Step Up movie series, we weren’t expecting the announcement that came before the last show of the first US leg of tour.

Miami, Florida became the backdrop of Believe 3D. That’s right, cue the screams and get your popcorn ready, because Believe 3D is coming soon! Jon Chu recently sat down with the Los Angeles Times to discuss the film, which is now highly anticipated. Justin is nineteen and going through the natural transitional age that all teenagers experience while trying to plan out the rest of their lives. Thankfully, Jon Chu is there to capture Justin’s transition with a camera. Chu said, “It’s almost about a boy becoming an artist rather than a boy’s life. Because his artistry is his life now.” The film was originally set to just be a concert film, so Beliebers that couldn’t afford tickets or didn’t make it to TicketMaster on time could still see the show. But, Jon Chu is known for shooting extra footage and he promises this film will be more than only Justin’s ninety-minute act, there will be plenty of behind-the-scenes! “We have footage of him writing the first song for his next album on a piece of paper with a pencil. Blank page, erasing, writing. That’s where it starts. You get to see the creative process of making songs under this kind of pressure.”

We don’t have an official release date yet, but… Between the recent teasing of “music journals” and an anticipated Believe 3D, Bieber fans are going to have plenty to scream about soon! Tweet us at @weknowthedj and let us know how you feel about Believe 3D and if you think it will do better than Never Say Never!
