BREAKING NEWS: Jonas Brothers Announce Summer Tour!

April 3, 2013

As if a brand new single weren’t enough.

Upon releasing the first track from their highly anticipated new album (and simultaneously giving the world a listen into what their comeback will sound like), the Jonas Brothers announced breaking news this morning: this summer, after a three-year hiatus, they’re headed back out on the road.

You heard it right: to promote the album as well as support the trio’s re-launch into the music world, Kevin, Joe, and Nick are set to travel across North America, starting July 10th in Chicago and finishing off August 16th in Los Angeles.

News of the tour was dropped this morning when the boys paid a visit to the On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio show. In addition to announcing their summer plans, the heartthrobs debuted their red-hot new single, “Pom Poms”, and performed a delectable cover of Frank Ocean’s “Thinking of You”.

But let’s just take a moment to discuss that single.

“Pom Poms” is an upbeat dance number with a delightful infectious punch not unlike previous JoBros jams – A Little Bit Longer‘s “Burnin’ Up” and Jonas Brothers‘ “S.O.S.” come to mind. With lyrics such as, “More to love when your hands are free / Baby put your pom poms down for me / Come on shake it up 123 / Baby put your pom poms down for me”, the track works dually to exemplify their songwriting creativity, as well as do justice to the trio’s vocal and instrumental talents. If you haven’t heard what’s undoubtedly set to be one of 2013’s fiery summer anthems, you can listen to the tune here.

Tickets to catch Kevin, Joe, and Nick on tour will be available starting April 9th for the JB fan club presale, and April 13th for the general public.

Will you be putting your Pom Poms down this summer?
