“The hype around my record is so crazyyyyy,” tweeted Cyrus on March 9th, 2013, and she couldn’t be more correct.

Since it was brought to everyone’s attention about Cyrus and Pharrell working in Miami in the studio around June of 2012, it has been nothing but constant anticipation. It has been quite a while since the young star has released a full studio album, with Can’t Be Tamed being her last in 2010. Despite the semi-hiatus, lately she has given a small taste of what we should expect from her. On VH1 Divas, she delivered a very out-of-her-element performance with “Rebel Yell.” Cyrus has done a few covers here and there, including Bob Dylan’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go.”

Although her music has been put on hold, she didn’t exactly fall to the pit of the Earth. Cyrus’ twitter is still widely active, usually stomping down rumors, voicing her opinions, or more frequently, posting adorable pictures of her pets. However, just last week, the singer tweeted that her music was going to shut everyone up, and she was “not discussing anything but my music from now on.” Seems fair enough.

Just last week, E! reported that Cyrus was no working with new manager Larry Rudolph, who worked with Britney Spears for her comeback following “Blackout.” There has also been news that Cyrus signed a deal with RCA Records.

There’s still a lot of mystery and questions surrounding Cyrus’ still unnamed album, but it adds all the more suspense. Working with different artists and producers, such as Hit-Boy and Tyler, The Creator, the 20-year-old star has shown that she is willing to branch out into the hip-hop side of music. Proved by her new haircut, you can tell that Miley Cyrus is not scared of taking any risks.

Who even knows what to expect on this new album? The fans are rejoicing, the media is wondering, and Cyrus is keeping them guessing.
