Introducing Ariana Grande!

January 11, 2013

If you have ever seen the hit Nickelodeon TV show Victorious, you might have laid your eyes on Ariana Grande, otherwise known as the ditzy and bubbly, Cat Valentine.

Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Ariana Grande-Butera earned her start at the young age of 14 on Broadway. Just a few years later in March of 2010, Grande premiered in the sitcom Victorious. Grande has continuously kept her schedule busy with events such as voicing an animated fairy in the Nickelodeon series Winx Club, starring as Snow White in A Snow White Christmas in December of 2012, performing at various venues, hosting the Breaking Dawn – Part II red carpet, and more!

Unfortunately, Cat Valentine’s days are coming to an end, but Grande will be starring alongside Jennette McCurdy in a new spin-off of iCarly and Victorious called Sam & Cat!

At first glance of the young and rising star, it may be unbelievable to know that she possesses such a powerful voice. Seriously, do not ever judge a book by its cover. Below is a cover by Ariana Grande of “Rolling In The Deep”. You can be the judge of her voice, but there isn’t any doubt she is phenomenal.

Grande has done many covers (and even impersonations) including “Emotions” by Mariah Carey and “Die In Your Arms” by Justin Bieber, where he even tweeted her props! She is also featured on Mika’s “Popular Song”. You can check out her YouTube page here to find the feature and all her covers.

Daydreamin’, the singer’s first studio album, is currently being worked on. It is due for release early this year. Grande mentioned that the album would be really personal and that “it’s a Motown throwback and pop at the same time, so it’s ‘50s and ‘60s inspiration mixed with today.”

At the young age of 19, Ariana Grande is still learning and working her way out to the scene. Personally, I feel as if Grande is underrated and does not get the praise she deserves, but in time, the hard work will pay off!

You can follow Ariana Grande on Twitter at @ArianaGrande and like her Facebook page. Keep an eye out for her this year!
