The very hot five-piece boy band has successfully grown this year through their hit song “Glad You Came.” The song flew up the charts, and ended up staying there for weeks at a time. The boys, Nathan, Max, Jay, Siva and Tom, now have over three singles climbing the charts.

2. Justin Bieber – Boyfriend


Correct me if I’m wrong, but every single song that Justin releases as a single, becomes huge and tops every single music chart. I don’t think anyone is complaining though. “Boyfriend” was the first single released off the highly anticipated “Believe” album.  Bieber has done many renditions of the song since the release; a slow version, acoustic, and also an upbeat version that includes a huge dance choreography in the middle of the song.

3. One More Night – Maroon 5

If you’ve heard this song on the radio over one hundred times by now, you’d know that “One More Night” is one of the most played songs on the radio of 2012. Maroon 5 has had quite the success over the past year by also having “Payphone” quickly rising charts this year, just like “One More Night” has.

Rihanna is back with an album tour, as well as a low-key “777” tour that only went on in a few cities around the world. She has been featured on more songs than I can count since the beginning of 2012. “Diamonds” was only recently released as a single, but has become more popular than ever in a short amount of time.

8. Taylor Swift – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

The country-gone-pop singer has done it again. Back with yet another breakup song, Taylor Swift released the single on a live stream that was available for the world to watch and listen. “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” has made it to the charts and surely stayed there.

British phenomenon, Ed Sheeran, has hit the jackpot with a song that was originally supposed to be a “joke.” With such a unique calming voice, Ed gained fan after fan, after his song “The A Team” played on air for months on end.
