GRAMMY Nominees Revealed

December 6, 2012

Last Night, The GRAMMY Nomination Concert aired live from Nashville, co-host Taylor Swift’s home town, and co-host’s LL. Cool J’s new favorite place to Honkey Tonk.

As the night started off, country cutie Hunter Hayes put a twist on announcing the Pop Vocal Album nominees when he came out covering their songs, including Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5.

The Record of the Year nominations were announced next, during which Taylor’s “Oh my God, no way!!” face went into full force when she was nominated for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”  Little Big Town announced the Best New Artist nominees who included Frank Ocean and “Ho Hey” singers, The Lumineers, After fun. performed “We Are Young” which I must add sounds just as perfect live, the Country Solo Nominees were announced, where Carrie Underwood stood out as the only female nominated. Congrats to fun. who were nominated six times!

While watching CBS for an hour kept us all entertained, excited and hopeful, things turned around near the ending of the broadcast. Breaking the hearts of many beliebers throughout the world, it seemed the “Beauty and a Beat” singer would not be nominated for an award. Although Justin did not react in anyway via social media, his crew put out their response and most of us would definitely agree with Scooter who tweeted “…this time there wont be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one… the hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. the kid delivered. Huge succesful album, sold out tour, and won people over… …this time he deserved to be recognized and I dont really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision i dont agree with.”  You tell ‘em Scooter! The positive outlook on this that Justin has the rest of his career to be nominated, many of his fans tweeted out the fact the Michael Jackson wasn’t nominated until the age of 22. Next year you’ve got this in the bag, JB! Don’t miss the show, which is sure to be awesome when it airs on Feb. 10.
