Did you catch X-Factor this week? If not, you missed all the acts perform songs unplugged. One of the top-runners, 13-year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar, performed Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me.”  Her mentor, Britney Spears, chose the song for her this week.

While everyone loves Justin’s version, Carly Rose’s version changed the “La’s” in the chorus to one long love and changed the lyrics in the second verse to better suit her. She sings “you’ll be my Hova, I could be your Destiny’s child on the scene boy.”

She nailed the performance, and while L.A. Reid thought she was crazy to be singing the song before he heard her perform it, he changed his mind after hearing her. He said to her “That was the best for my taste.” Demi said, “I love it when I hear unplugged versions of songs that are better than the actual song.” Simon told her, “A lot of girls your age, they can actually be quite annoying when they’re singers, but you’re actually very cool!”

Carly took all the judge’s comments humbly and was voted into next week’s semi-finals. In the voting, she finished second this week.  She’s been battling for first with country singer Tate Stevens.

Check out her unplugged version of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” below and let us know what you think of her version.
