Jason Aldean Releases New Album: “Night Train”

October 18, 2012

When it comes to Jason Aldean, country is all he knows. With five album’s under his belt, adding a new one to the bunch will just make his fans crave him even more. As you might already know, Aldean’s sixth full length studio album called “Night Train” reached iTunes at midnight on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012. With a strong line up of fifteen solid tracks and one being with Luke Bryan, this album is a heavy hitter.

When it comes to Jason’s music, he is known for his upbeat music and laid back lyrics. Although he is a country singer, he has a unique sound to his voice which makes you want to jump in your car, roll down the windows and hit cruise control.

The title track of the album, “Night Train” is a love song with a southern country twist. This is actually my personal favourite song on the album because in a way it’s different from what Aldean usually writes. The lyrics go, “Got a moon and a million stars, the sound of steel and old box cars, the thought of you is driving me insane, come on baby let’s go listen to the night train”. Don’t get me wrong, all the songs are amazing, of course; but there is something about “Night Train” that will make you smile big.

Another song to look out for is “Staring At The Sun” which is again, about a girl. This track is a story about a girl who left home and realizes she should have never left. The ending of the track explains the song perfectly and it goes like this, She’s like finally coming home, and seeing that light in the window on, after being gone too long, she’s like finally coming home,  standin’ in the rain, starin’ at the sun”.

If you haven’t picked this album up yet, I highly recommend you do so ASAP. Aldean has put tons of hard work into making “Night Train” as good as it can be. He has truly pulled off an amazing album.
