Alicia Keys Releases “Girl on Fire Music Video

October 22, 2012

If you’re like me, hearing “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys will either make you think of Gaby Douglas whipping out a back handspring during the live performance of the song on the VMA’s, or the Citi card commercial where a lucky guy gets up close and personal with the singer. But now, there’s a new image of Keys being a stylish 50s/60s songstress and mom in the music video for the song, which premiered on BET Oct. 19.

Keys plays a normal do-it-all mother who is cleaning up, dancing, and cooking with her family in the video for “Girl on Fire” from her new album of the same title, which will be out in late November.  The song is said to have been inspired by her son Egypt as well as her husband. The video starts with Keys introducing the song like a TV show or infomercial, she then starts belting the song laying down, showing her singing ability is amazing from any stance! The ballad continues on as Keys sings while being supermom and showing that any mom deserves a lot of credit for their everyday job.  She looks amazing in the video; she’s got a rockin’ bod for just having a kid not too long ago! Check out the official video for the song below. Also, listen to the Inferno remix of the song, which features Nicki Minaj.
