One Direction releases video for new single “Live While We’re Young”

September 20, 2012

With the drop of One Direction’s sophomore album “Take Me Home” still over a month away, fans of the British-Irish pop group have been getting anxious for new material. And that’s precisely what they got today, when the music video for the album’s first single, “Live While We’re Young”, was released unexpectedly.

The song was set for radio première at 5 PM GMT, and – much to the delight of Directioners across the globe – the video was posted on VEVO a mere hour later. As upbeat and carefree as the song itself, the video features shots of the boys messing around, partying, and simply having fun – showcasing the personalities that make the five of them so irresistible in the first place. Irish member Niall Horan, who recently turned nineteen, described LWWY on Twitter as “the most fun video to make, such a laugh”. The song itself has potential to be an instant hit, staying true to One Direction’s energetic style, while also ensuring that their natural vocal talents ring out. With lyrics such as “Let’s go crazy, crazy, crazy, til we see the sun / I know we only met but let’s pretend it’s love / And never, never, never stop for anyone / Tonight let’s get some and live while we’re young”, the track is undeniably contagious.

“Live While We’re Young” will be available for purchase on iTunes October 1st. Check out the video below:
