Carly Rae Jepsen’s New Album ‘KISS’ is definitely a “Good Time”

September 19, 2012

Carly Rae Jepsen’s second album, ‘KISS’ is out today! Can you believe it’s been over a year since “Call Me Maybe,” the first single from the album was released?

The pop LP from Interscope Records was well worth the wait. Although many of the songs were leaked on the internet before the actual release date, Jepsen’s album is getting positive reviews, proud remarks from Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun, and encouraging tweets from many of her fans.  Jepsen gives listeners a treat with collaborations with Owl City and Justin Bieber for the songs “Good Time” and “Beautiful.”  ‘KISS’ is currently the number four album on iTunes, and seems to be moving up by the hour.  Jepsen co- wrote almost every song on her album, giving it a more personal feel, and worked with some amazing producers including Dallas Austin and Max Martin. “This Kiss,” the third single from the album released on Sept. 10, was one of two songs on ‘KISS’ co-produced by LMFAO’s Redfoo.

“It’s cool to be able to say with confidence that this is an album that I feel like I’ve been waiting to make and I’m ready to finally have out there,” Jepsen said during an interview with MTV News.

It’s easy to find yourself bobbing your head and singing along to all the songs on this album, most are upbeat, and the couple that aren’t are very relatable and heartfelt, like “Your Heart Is a Muscle” and “Almost Said It.”  Definitely check out “Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” you’ll probably be hearing it when you go to a club soon!

The 16- track deluxe edition of KISS is on iTunes for $13.99, so go get it!
