Billboard Hot 100: Top 10 Songs

Billboard Hot 100 is a list of the week’s most popular songs across all genres, ranked by radio play, sales, and online streaming. This week’s list just came out and here’s what’s happening:

 

#10 “Lights” by Ellie Goulding- Falling 3 spots this week, “Lights” has been on the list for 40 weeks.

#9 “Too Close” by Alex Clare- Falling one spot this week, “Too Close” has been on the list for 26 weeks. This song first gained notoriety featured in the new Internet Explorer commercials.

#8 “Good Time” by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen- Up one spot from last week, “Good Time” is at its highest position in the charts. It’s always a “Good Time” listening to this song.

#7 “As Long As You Love Me” by Justin Bieber featuring Big Sean- Falling one spot this week, Bieber’s current single has been on the hot 100 for 14 weeks. Will this song make its way to #1?

#6 “Whistle” by Flo Rida- down two spots this week, the Florida native’s song has been on the list for 19 weeks. It’s just a matter of time before his newest single hits the top 10 list.

#5 “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” by Pink- did not change chart positions this week. However, her new album, which dropped last week, debuted at number one.

#4 “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” by Taylor Swift is down two spots this week and has been on the list for 7 weeks.  It did peak at #1 already and Taylor released her new single, “Begin Again,” this week.

#3 “Some Nights” by Fun- This song has been on the countdown for 31 weeks and peaked at #3. A fun song by a fun band, this song is also #9 in radio airplay.

#2 “Gangnam Style” by Psy-up 11 spots this week, “Gangnam Style” has reached its highest point so far after only being on the charts for 3 weeks. It made huge leaps this week in all charts and could even oust our #1 song next week. Keep an eye out for that.

#1 “One More Night” by Maroon 5 is the #1 song again this week. The second single off their album “Overexposed,” is a popular radio song and is also the number one on-demand song.
