Nickelback – Trying Not To Love You

August 22, 2012

Starring Jason Alexander and Brooke Burns, Nickleback’s new music video was an absolute hit.

The video took place in a small coffee shop where Jason Alexander (also known as George Costanza from Seinfeld) was the head brewer, who falls in love with a customer. He neatly tries to impress the customer (Brooke Burns) by whipping up a caffeine masterpiece. Jason ends up in a coffee-making match with a newly hired employee, who tries to steal his spotlight. A crowd appears around the two of them, hoping to see a rivalry ending to the match. Even though Alexander didn’t think he won Brooke’s heart in the end, she appears out of the crowd and rides away on a motor scooter with him. How cute!

There’s just one thing that is a little weird about this video. Nickleback is nowhere to be seen in their own music video! Strange, I know! It’s definitely something different for the band, seeing as they can be found playing their instruments in every other music video they’ve produced. There are also a few scenes in the video that don’t quite combine with the rest, one of which being the scene where Brooke Burns is in a bikini swimming in a latte. Definitely not something you usually see in a music video!

Some people may hate the video, as some may love it. After reading YouTube comments, it’s evident everyone has mixed feelings about the video, so check it out below, and let us know what you think!
