50 Cent’s Fifth Studio Album To Release In November; Drops Lead Single

July 31, 2012

G-G-G-Unit! You might remember this little ‘catch phrase’ from the hip hop group G-Unit, formed in 2002. But before I go off on a tangent, let’s just get right to it and focus on one of the members, 50 Cent.

50 Cent has made it aware that he is dropping his fifth studio album, “Street King Immortal”, on November 13, 2012 through Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. Delays have been made on the release date, but now the wait is finally over! His last album, “Before I Self Destruct”, was a disappointment in sells, at least compared to his previous albums.

It may be questionable on how well this upcoming album will do. Will it follow in the footsteps of his last album? Or will it perhaps exceed in album sells and shock the world?

Luckily enough, 50 Cent dropped the lead single from the album recently on July 27th. I’d say this gives us a small taste on what to expect from the rapper in November. The single, ‘New Day’, was produced by Dr. Dre and mixed by Eminem. Dr. Dre also raps in the song, along with Alicia Keys singing in the chorus. Quite an impressive group of people to collaborate together; and the song definitely did not dissatisfy.

Take a listen below to ‘New Day’, which also includes the single’s artwork, and let us know what you think.

It is now also available for iTunes download! http://smarturl.it/NewDay
