Bloody, Bruised, and Beaten: Justin Bieber

March 23, 2012

Complex Magazine’s 10th anniversary issue hit the stands with some bloody, bruised, and beaten photos of Justin Bieber. Don’t worry beliebers, JB’s face is still just as flawless as ever. The Biebs aimed for a different approach when it came to the Complex Magazine photoshoot. The irony in the photos: the newly turned 18-year-old is no longer anyone’s punching bag, he’s here to stay and to prove to the haters that he’s not just some kid who sings about puppy love.  “People just need to take a chance and listen. If they don’t want to take a chance, then I don’t know,” Bieber mused. “That’s going to be the biggest problem, to make them feel like it’s cool for them to like my music.”

In the magazine cover story, Justin confidently talks about his success, his new album “Believe”, and  sets the record straight about his relationship with Selena Gomez by saying “There’s no way to hide the relationship completely, because then it would be unfair to us.” The article also gives us some insight on how Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun is allowing him to be his own man by leaving him to fend for himself in an interview. Bieber even touched base on the critic’s response to the V Magazine photos where they said he looked very feminine. “Every guy has feminine qualities,” he says. “You’re raised by your mother and father, and I was raised mostly by my mother. I think the pictures turned out good—so whatever.”

Justin’s success didn’t come without a price, “There’s no point in doing this if I’m not going to be the best,” Bieber says. “I give up a personal life. I give up my friends and family to pursue what I love and to make my fans happy. Why would I give up so much to be just another singer?”
