Reunited & It Sounds So Good: Rihanna & Chris Brown team up on new tracks

February 22, 2012

Just three years ago the Hollywood buzz was about the infamous fallout involving Chris Brown and then-girlfriend, Rihanna. On Monday the past-lovers made headlines yet again, only this time in a good way with a collaboration that sent shock waves across the internet.

Speculations of Brown and RhiRhi reuniting began shortly before the 2012 Grammy’s when both were scheduled to appear at the awards. A day later, ‘Birthday Cake’ producers hinted that Rihanna was about to release a new track remix with a collaboration that would “shock the world.” On Monday, Breezy tweeted “Happy Birthday Robyn!”  to the Barbados Beauty and then to celebrate, both artists tweeted not only 1 but 2 remixes, Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and Brown’s “Turn Up the Music”.Once the initial shock that the exes collaborated set in with the fans, download pandemonium caused music sharing sites to crash for several hours. RhiRhi later tweeted “Its a download OVERLOAD!!!! Working on more links for u guys, so errbody could have some #CAKE”

The original track, “Birthday Cake”  appears on Rihanna’s “Talk that Talk” album as a snippet. “Turn Up the Music” appears on Breezy’s upcoming album, “Fortune” that is set to be released on March 16th.

Give both of the remixes a listen and let us know which one team you are on, #TEAMBREEZY or #RIHANNANAVY? Do you think the message of the explicit lyrics has a hidden meaning between to twosome?? Let us know what you think!
