Justin Bieber’s ‘Real Deal’

February 24, 2012

Justin Bieber has a new woman in his life and Selena Gomez isn’t even hatin! Justin and his manager, Scott ‘Scooter’ Braun, have recently teamed up to sign ex-Canadian Idol star/singer-songwriter, Carly Rae Jepsen. A couple months ago when The Biebs was on vacation in Canada, he heard Carly’s latest single ‘Call Me Maybe’ on the radio. From then on he was hooked. He instantly knew it was a smash and was quick to get involved with the girl behind the catchy song. And since Justin Bieber gets well… pretty much anything he wants (Bieber or Die), he was able to make it happen. The king of Twitter announced the deal via Twitvid 8 days ago.

Since the announcement, Carly’s life has been a whirlwind of excitement, insanity and Bieber Fever! Her song “Call Me Maybe” has been a trending topic on twitter since Justin and fellow Hollywood stars teamed up to make their own funny dance music video to the single.

Since the post, YouTube has been FLOODED with fans having a blast, mimicking the super fun and wild video shoot.

In addition to all of that craziness, Carly also made her first (and surely not her last) trip to Los Angeles to finally meet the man himself, Justin Bieber.

They really seemed to hit it off. Their first impression of each other? Carly said Justin was “Passionate, talented and charming”. Justin was also full of compliments, he said Miss Carly was “Kind, talented and the real deal”. Since they met, they have also been hinting via twitter that the two are collaborating on a new song on Justin’s upcoming album ‘Believe’ set to be released early this year.

The Biebs and Carly have been tweeting each other non-stop since they announced she was now “part of the family”, she’s gained nearly a million followers from their friendly chats. But that’s not all, ‘Call Me Maybe’ reached # 18 on iTunes before a technical glitch pulled the song from the top 100 list all together (where is Steve Jobs when you need him?). But Carly, have no fear because when Justin’s on your side he and the whole team have been blowing up nearly every social network in existence to get the word out. The song was back up to #23 in less than twenty-four hours. Now that is what you call star power!

For the skeptics that think Carly’s popularity is because of Justin, there is some truth to that. However this girl has some serious talent to back up all the hype. As Justin said she is the “real deal”. Her vocals are on point. Her last album ‘Tug Of War’ has great lyrical depth, and she seems like a down-to-earth, extremely humble young lady. Don’t be quick to judge Miss Jepsen just because she has Bieber’s approval, check out her music and then decide.

Cheers to you Miss Carly, your future is looking pretty dang bright right about now.
