T.I.-New Year, New Mixtape, New Show

January 7, 2012

T.I is far from fresh meat when it comes to the rap game. He was signed as a teenager in 2001 and has been producing gangster rap albums ever since. Yet it wasn’t until 2007 that the hardcore rapper went mainstream with the release of his pop friendly album “T.I. vs. T.I.P.”

However, with the success of his album, also came a plethora of media drama and legal troubles including his highly publicized arrest for felony gun charges. Five years later the infamous rapper, T.I. has moved on. With this drama behind him, T.I. is now free from bars and starting 2012 off with a bang. Going back to his gangster roots, T.I. released a mix-tape entitled “F*ck Da City Up”, which includes collaborations with Meek Mills, B.o.B, Young Jeezy, Nelly, and Dr. Dre, on New Year’s Day. The mixtape was released to keep The King’s name out in the streets while the final touches are being put on his eighth solo album titled. ‘Troubled Man.’

But that’s not all the ATL rapper is coming out with this year, T.I. and his, long-time wife, Tiny, also have a reality TV show ‘T.I and Tiny: The Family Hustle’ that recently debuted on VH1.
