Justin Bieber’s Alter Ego, Shawty Mane Makes TV Appearance

December 2, 2011

If you didn’t watch the lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree  and you’re not a Belieber, then you probably haven’t heard Justin’s rendition of the classic Christmas tune, ‘Little Drummer Boy.’ Let’s just say the boy thought “outside of the bubble” when re-creating the song for his Christmas album, “Under The Mistletoe” by collaborating with the unusually-quick-flow-spitter, Busta Rhymes.

Not only is The Biebs in the holiday spirit, but so is his rapping alter ego. On November 30th, Shawty Mane, making his debut TV appearance, and Busta joined forces and performed their rap version of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ for thousands of fans during the 79th annual holiday extravaganza. As previously stated in recent posts regarding Bieber’s rap game, he’s continuously shown progression and the song clearly provides evidence. Of course there are still some of the original lyrics and melodies left in the Bieber/Busta version, but it’s safe to say that the new rap lyrics are the ear-perkers and even spreads a positive message to the listeners.

Rarely do people even wanna help at all,
‘Cause they warm by the fire, getting toys and their dolls.
Not thinking there’s a family out hungry and cold,
Wishin’ wishin’ that they had somebody they could hold.
So I think some of you need to act bold;
Give a can to a drive, let’s change the globe.

I think the Biebs is genius for adding a little rap to a Christmas classic, what about you?
